Got interviewed by the Borders Telegraph today! Will be in the paper next week! Hurray!
I am very busy as I am onto my next project at Uni. I started to do some research and came across this:
Looks as though Issey Miyake has stolen my yarn bombs and put them on some models! (But this was from his A/W 2010/11 collection...)
My Yarn Bomb project is getting marked this week! Ahh! A bit nerve-racking but that's Uni for you!

Good News and Bad News
Ok I will give you the bad news first. Thanks to a bin man I have found out that the council have taken down ALL my yarn bombs the only trace I found of them is this strand of green yarn which I took home =[
Good news is I have loads of feedback via my survey, blog and the Borders Telegraph Facebook Page. Here's some of my favourite comments:
Hopefully I will be in the Borders Telegraph soon - so keep a look out! And finally thought I would give you a sneak peak of my desk at Uni:
And Here is a map of where all the yarn bombs where:
The very last traces =[ |
I am also a little angry as I was going to take the yarn bombs down after 2 weeks. The council should have just emailed me... *sigh* |
No more Yarn Bombs |
Yarn Bombs are gone =[ |
Good news is I have loads of feedback via my survey, blog and the Borders Telegraph Facebook Page. Here's some of my favourite comments:
- Fantastic!! Well done Heriot Watt for brightening up my day
- I think they might be hats for homeless people with really long necks xx
- Think they are fab. Well done yarn bombing
- Keep on doing what your doing. very enterprising. well done to all involved for brightening up the town x
- Like winter warmers
- I just wanted to say thank you for the yarn bombing! As a (ex) Heriot watt student, I knew straight away it had come from there. I miss the print room and knit shed! The Borders needs a bit of a culture shake up so keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing some more (maybe pompoms next time )
- Awesomeness enhanced by the fact it was official local paper news
Hopefully I will be in the Borders Telegraph soon - so keep a look out! And finally thought I would give you a sneak peak of my desk at Uni:
